Audrey Kathleen Ruston was born on May 4, 1929 and grew up to become a very well known and highly praised fashion and film icon. Hepburn was an active actress during the Golden Age of Hollywood and received the title of the third greatest female screen legend by the American Film Institute. Playing small parts in British films and appearing in Gigi a Broadway 1951 play, Hepburn finally got her hands on a lead role in 1953 in Roman Holiday. She won a Golden Globe Award, Academy Award, and also a BAFTA Award for her performance in just one won! That same year, she was awarded the Tony Award for her lead role in Ondine. She was a wonderful actress and is still remembered for her magnificent work in cinema!
